Day 5 – Treve
540 miles out of 969 done so far.
I haven’t been to the North West before and I can highly recommend it. Rolling countryside, imposing hills and tranquil valleys.
After Wigan, Chorley and Preston we went into the countryside and then on to the rest of Lancashire and Cumbria.
The highlight of the day was the climb up Shap Fell which was well worth it for the view and the chance to take a cheesy selfie. Nine miles long and 1500 feet of vertical ascent and even the traffic light gods near the top did their bit so I didn’t have to put my foot down, yay J
Now just North of Penrith and should be crossing the border early tomorrow morning.
Well that’s England crossed in 5 days on a bike and even I’m surprised.
All medical stuff still within normal paramaters. Everything hurts, but not too much, so yay J
Thanks for the support guys, still greatly appreciated.
